Tae Guk Kwon is the Korean name for T’ai Chi Ch’ uan, often referred to as Tai Chi. This is a Wellness Program with Tai Chi as the vehicle by which we will intend to increase our health. It is appropriate for everyone who wishes to improve their general health, awareness, movement and general conditioning. All the movements are performed slowly and with low impact to the body. Performing slowly teaches our neuro-muscular system the proper movement for the posture and helps us to learn balance. Tai Chi is also for breathing and energy control in motion.
Class will be held on Thursday evenings from 7:15 pm – 9:00 pm
Class will focus on introducing Tai Chi and the first 25 movements.
Session Dates: February 6th and 20th, March 5th and 19th, April 1st and 15th, May 7th and 21st, June 4th and 18th, July 2nd and 16th
Our instructor Jeff Tyler has been practicing the arts for over 25 years. His current practices include Tai Chi, Pranic Healing, Reiki, and is a 4th degree black belt in Soo Bahk Do (a traditional Korean martial art).
