Let knitting take you to a place of peace! Meditation is about finding peace in the present moment, and knitting can offer just that. It offers that present-moment focal point. Whether you choose patterns that are simple or complex, you are able to lose yourself in the repetitive practice.
Studies show that tasks that have a rhythmic nature releases serotonin, a natural mood stabilizer, that encourages better sleep, eating patterns, digestion, and overall mood. Also while using both hands, knitting is helpful for improving fine motor skills.
Join us for a community building event with knitting, tea, and conversation. We will start our session with light stretches specifically for knitting and reducing repetitive injuries.
Tea and light snacks will be served.
Please bring your own knitting supplies.
