Hello Yogis and Yoginis

We have a fellow yogini, Shelly, who is traveling to Africa in a few weeks and she needs some of our bras and balls... well let me explain. She needs our used and forgotten bras for the ladies in Africa and tennis balls for rehab. She also needs yoga mats, especially the cheap target ones, the pack easily in a suitcase. Need an excuse to buy a new yoga mat and bras? Here you go! Please contact Kamie at with any items to donate!

Here is some more info... This is the info letter:

Dear Friends and Family:
I am very excited to tell you about my first mission trip to Odzi, Zimbabwe in November, 2014. I have the opportunity to use my skills in a profession that I love (Physical Therapy) to help an underserved population with a huge need.
Odzi, Zimbabwe is located on the east side of Zimbabwe near the Mozambique border. The town is mainly made up of displaced people who are not employed and have very little means to sustain their lives. However, there is tremendous potential with education of the children and providing an infrastructure for economic development. The projects in our upcoming mission will aid in a small way towards this initiative.
We have developed a mission relationship between Mount Olive Missions in Anoka, MN and DOCAS (District Outreach for Care and Support) in Odzi. For the past four years, the Mount Olive Missions team has taken short-term missionaries to Odzi to provide leadership training, discipleship training and work with area schools sharing the gospel and providing school supplies. We have distributed over 500 Bibles, (Study Bibles and Shona Bibles) and provided funding for a borehole (water well). We have also sent a 40’ shipping container filled with hospital beds, wheelchairs, crutches, nursery kits among many other items.
Due to this relationship, our ministry has expanded to include the establish- ment of the Mount Olive Mission Hospital. Only through God’s blessing and leading could we even begin to realize this project. It is at times overwhelming to think how God is using our small church in Anoka, MN to do the life-changing ministry that He has set before us! Part of our mission will include renovations to a farmhouse that will be used to start the hospital.
We are very excited to have medical personnel coming on our mission trip that will train local medical staff in Odzi on the best way to treat and care for children and patients who are disabled with muscular dystrophy and other illnesses. They will provide physical therapy training, equipment training, hygiene training and will hold classes in preventing HIV/AIDS.
Another project we are working on is the conversion of our first 40’ container into an Internet Resource Center. Coupled with this, is an initiative to train 250 students in basic computer technology. We will provide laptops to as many students as we can for their future education and growth.

Other team members will be training students who are working as missionaries in their communities. They will be providing sessions in missiology, Theology, leadership and defending our faith. We have received donations from LCMS pastors and professors to use as the curriculum.
We have also been interested in researching power alternatives for the Internet Resource Center and the primary and secondary schools in Odzi. We are looking at solar panels for the secondary school and a battery power source for the Center.
Whew! It is going to be a big mission with 15 servants traveling from November 2 through November 19. The only way we can even come close to completing this mission is with your prayers and financial support. You are truly partnering with this team with your support.

Attached is a form to help us keep in touch with you during our mission and to provide you a way of supporting the team financially. Any help will be appreciated! If you have any questions, please email
